Richelieu

The story of Ariane (Ariane Castellanos), the new French-Spanish translator at a food processing plant that employs Guatemalan workers. Initially determined to follow the sometimes excessive directives of the young boss (Marc-André Grondin), Ariane befriends the temporary workers and undertakes a daily resistance to defend them against the exploitation they are subjected to. The film aims to be an anxiety-inducing social drama about the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, the federal mechanism that allows the hiring of workers from Latin America to address the labor shortage.
