Movie was OK, not somtehing that I would consider a potential classic since it had no real substance to it. Wait for the DVD discount bin.

As all his movies! Excellent! Cage belongs to the elite of actors whom everybody expects to watch his movies. I don't care if it is like the book or not the fact is that it is a good movie.

Nicolas Cage himself is an excellent actor, and he performs excellent here, as always. The theme has been used a lot but I must admit I got engaged from start to finish and wanted him to succeed even though he was playing of the bad guy. Go watch it.

I lived in Thailand for 6 months and it was nice to see many of the places I used to visit. I thought the movie was quite true to life as far as living in Thailand was concerned. It is hard not to fall for a Thai girl and his character's love for the deaf girl was very believable as well as her reaction to him when she finds out what he does for a living. His helper was very believable too along With a slice of Thai nightlife. If you want a view of Thai life as it pretty much really is, With a bit of action... you will enjoy the movie. I did not like the ending though... but then he just gave up on his work.

If you replaced the "Bang" in bangkok With "Suck" then this title would be suiting. The plot was ridiculous (Nicholas Cage falls in love With a deaf person and meets her mother) He's supposed to be a badass but the guy's a wuss. And Nicolas Cage cannot act. He has serious face, and crazy laugh, thats his spectrum of emotions. Don't see it ever.

Sorry I'm fench. If you want to feel somewhere else and have some action going on. People don't know what there talking about. This movie is different and have some resemblance With other movies. But witch doesn't? Don't you understand how much money it cost to film in Bangkok? Definitely worth seeing for the nightlife scenes. Let me introduce. If you feel that you want to be somewhere else... have a story line... a bit of romance... and like mostly all Nicolas Cage movies, then this movie should bring you somewhere and make you think. You can really get in this movies and I think like always Nicolas gives the looks that you can interpret whatever you want. Go watch late night , better feeling. Thx for reading.

Interesting to see this film set in thailand-land of tony ja and muay thai-this film sees a guy from the usa showing a local low level crook in bangkok the ropes of the assasin business-good, but if you have seen tony ja in the protector, or in ong bak, this film comes off a little goofy despite strong visuals and as usual above average acting by Nicholas Cage-

Lame attempt to add a storyline to what essentially should have been kept as a 'shoot 'em up' movie. My rating is probably slightly biased given that I am Nicolas Cage fan... if you're not, then might be best to avoid.

*spoilers*, it was different but good. At times I was thinking they could have done this better or that better, but overall I enjoyed it. Many people will not like it because it's a-typical including the negative ending. If you don't want to see something With a sad ending, or if you want a snappy and witty unrealistically over polished hero, like they have in most movies, then this isn't for you. If you can appreciate something a bit different and are up for a negative ending then you might enjoy it. It's by no means perfect, and could be better in ways, but it's not right awful and should be quite enjoyed by some.

Very poor plot to this movie, very very simple meant for the age group of about 16 years old, its all just shooting no reall story even takes place I would not recommend anyone to see it, yes Nicolas Cage does a great job acting but... but lets just say I had to hold my eyes open so I didn't fall asleep. Very poor movie.

This movie was definitely meant for teenagers, what With the *very* simple plots and constant revisiting in the movie. Only decent thing was to get a cool glimpse of Bangkok. We certainly didn't get a cool glimpse of acting.

This movie wasn't bad at all. Nicholas Cage usually have good movies... this one to be quite honest... He did a good job but the ending was so messed up. You see, once you got the story line and understand it you go With the flow which is good, but then they begin to mess up everything. The truth is, the main storyline is about drug dealing and what I was expecting was a much better ending. But I think what the director of the movie is trying to point out to those drug dealers that once your in, your never out and if you keep escaping from being outlawed, one day you wake up seeing you got no escape except death infront of you. Who knows really but that's what I think.
