Not exactly a movie for non_americans. More election cr-p.

Very silly. The end could be guessed. The idea in itself is improbable.

The pacing of this movie and changes in tone and focus make it worth seeing. Not only is the story well designed, the feel of the movie is fun and one you actually could take your younger family members to. This will become one of those movies that in the years to come people will say 'How come I didn't see it in the theatres? '

Cute movie! The young actress definitely seemed quite talented and smart! The ending came as a surprise but when you have some time to think about it, it isn't that bad of an ending! Good movie to see!

I was tossed back and forth as to the rating I would give this movie as I sat and watched it. It's not so much as a comedy but a few chuckles here and there were to be had. I am hoping the US canidates take some time to watch this film... maybe fast forward to the good parts. It tended to drag a bit and felt like they were stuffing things in to make the movie complete. I actually liked the ending. My friends and I discussed who we would have voted for on the way home and we all agreed on who it would have been. Relax and enjoy.

Great Movie. Politically astute with intelligent and witty dialogue. Very funny and tender at times. Well acted by both Kevin Costner and Madeline Carroll- the girl who plays his daughter.

First off... Kevin Costner's performance was for me was great, but the supreme acting came from a little girl by the name of Madeleine Carroll which is the reason I gave the movie 9 instead of 7... very heart warming/touching movie!!!

A star is born with Madeleine Carroll's performance. She deserves a ten. The story line was presented in such a way as to make it appear believable in an odd sort of way. The ending was such that it didn't really matter who won as both candidates had evolved over the course of the movie and picking a winner wasn't important. Very entertaining.

I loved it. It illustrates the real problems in life - choosing a path or avoiding it, or making a stand for something you hold on to or even keeping what you truly believed in.

I don't understand all the negative reviews this movie is getting. Madeleine Carroll just stole the show. She was amazing in this film. Kevin Costner is back to true form and it had a very relevant message that we need to listen to alittle more closely. The movie was well done, entertaining and at times touching. I don't agree with some other reviews stating Costner is preaching on a soap box because I don't believe he is. Think about the lies and manipulation by our own government which is perpetuated by the media and maybe you'll begin to see the true message of this film... to "open your eyes".

Very smart film with an important message (rare for Hollywood!) After seeing the film it is clear how the voters, politicians and even the media are to blame for the political mess of the USA. The film seems to beg the question: "Does anybody really care? Is there any sign of conscience on Earth? Or is everyone wrapped-up in their own ego and power? " Go see it if you care about what's going on politically in the US and Canada.

Okay so I personally think that this was the worst movie that I ever saw because the ending made no sence and in the middle it was just awful what I'm trying to say is that I waisted 10 dollars on nothing and I would much rather spend 10 dollors on a pack of candy LOL.

Kevin Costner should have remained in retirement... this 'comeback' goes no where. Only Madeline Carrol as his daughter Mollie offers any sparkle to this dreary political/comedy. Low brow, beer swilling trailer-park denizens as the spoiler for the political elite recall Bill Clinton and his escapades. Ho hum. Americana at its worst. If Frank Capra can see this treatment of 'populism' from heaven, he'll arrange for Costner to watch 'Mr. Smith Goes to Washington' 500 times as penance. Swing Vote is over acted, underwritten and a real let down.
