Wow, what a great movie. Diane Lanes performance as Connie is just spectacular. At times you feel a voyeur into her affair. Connie, Paul and Edward do immoral things in this story but I never felt that way about them, instead I was swept along their journey with a musical score so powerful, sweeping and haunting, it felt like a dream. The story offers no answers to their dilemma, only the passions that can cause such events to occur. Unfaithful is unforgettable.

I saw the movie just because Richard Gere, the sexiest man alive according to a certain magazine in 1999, was part of the cast. Was it worth it? I thought the movie was okay and it would probably be much more moving if I would be married for 11 years. Diane Lane gave a terrific performance of a sexy, lonely and guilty wife: she totally stole the spotlight. Olivez Martinez was also fine playing a hearthrobe but I thought he wasn't that good looking. I know how easy it is to fall for another guy that attracts you so much despite of the strong relationship you have going on but the fact that the husband is the still-so-sexy Richard Gere and the lover is a soso Olivier Martinez, I couldn't buy it. I think I will probably watch it in 10 years and then love it.

It would be hard to find a better portrayal of lust driving someone insane. When ALL YOU CAN THINK ABOUT is having sex with THAT person. I feel sorry for those who never had the chance to experience that feeling. I do not have experience with drugs, but this is how I imagine addiction. A state when nothing else matters. It has a sense of danger even when the relationship is 'legitimate'Dianne Lane was perfect playing the bitch in heat. Could it have been better made? Maybe, but not much..

Dear Movie Fans, Bravo! 2 thumbs up for 'Unfaithful'. I disagree with people giving bad comments on the film. If you're an adult, you have no reason not to enjoy the film. Enjoy it as a movie. A movie has to depict good and bad. In this case, there may be some people opposed to the morality of the film. But that's precisely how successful the film is. It is able present to audience what infidelity is. Every scene in the film is 100% possible in reality. Although I would add that being as handsome, charming as Martinez helps a lot. A woman as sexy as Diane Lane is also one of the main ingredients to trigger an affair. Have anyone seen a better acting than that given by Diane Lane? I would say it is the best romance-thriller film in history. Regards, G. W. B.

This movie sucks! The acting was terrible, the sex scenes were not sexy, they were disgusting and unrealistic. Some scenes were suggestive of rape and downright offensive. The story could not justify all of the needless sex. I honestly haven't seen worse acting in my life. How could Richard Gere be a part of such a load of crap? DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!

Good movie. It had some unrealistic moments, but the crux of the movie, the actual affair and how it affected their lives was real. Sometimes things happen without anyone intentionally looking for anything to happen, and it is up to the married person to make the conscious thought and effort to not cross that line. That is were Diane Lane's character got lost, she crossed the line by walking into his apartment the first time. She still had her escape, she could have never contacted him again and that would have been the end of it, but she felt sexy and excited around this young french stud. Who wouldn't, the key is not to let it get the better of your judgement, which she failed to do. As for the ending folks, it was real, the reason why it was left open and uncertain is that LIFE is not certain, even when your dead your life doesn't wrap up neatly like most movies. I would see it again, just for the reminders on how easily the wrong descision can destroy your life and your trust.

I was thoroughly engrossed and on the edge of my seat with Lane's performance. The rush given in the first half of the film carried me through the more disappointing second half... until there was absolutely no resolve and even more confusion at the end. I feel as though I was built up for 1.5 hours ro be let down in the finale. It all fell apart in the last half-hour. Everyone was let down with ABSOLUTELY NO RESOLVE!

This movie was awesome. Even to look at Olivier Martinez turns me on. But to see him in hot sex scenes really got me. Especially the scene in the bathroom where she excuses herself from having lunch with her friends to go and get it on with him in the bathroom. And after he catches him in the library with the other woman and she freaks out. They go to his appartment and have an arguement and she tries to leave and he follows her out into the hallway and they have sex there. It is so amazing. I mean, what woman wouldnt want a man to want to have sex with her all the time? It would, beyond any doubt, make any woman feel sexy as hell. I recommend anybody and everybody to go see it. I loved it. And anybody who didnt love it should watch it again and actually pay attention to it. The only thing I would have changed, would to cast myself as Connie instead of Diane Lane. She is one lucky woman to have gotten that close to Olivier Martinez.

This movie was down to the details extremely realistic. I could so relate to Diane Lane's character buying new underwear, having sex in the bathroom at the restaurant, everything. Sorry guys, but this stuff REALLY happens. Some of these other posts crack me up by saying this movie was "unrealistic"."Why would a 'happily married woman' risk EVERYTHING? " they ask. For the same reason a supposed 'happily married man' would do so--for some PASSION. Let's face it--day to day life gets boring, even if your husband is Richard Gere. I cannot wait until December 17th to buy this movie. Experiencing it is THAT GOOD. Of course, these "flings" usually add badly, and I am not supporting them, I am merely saying that this story was very realistic.

This movie will not appeal to everyone. Some may find it dry and boring - especially if you've never been a serious relationship (hence the lower scores for younger viewers) I found the acting really good, and that helped draw me into the character's lives. I felt a lot of emotion for Gere's character, and when a movie makes me emotional (which is rare) I tend to rate it well. I liked this movie, and it is definitely worth a watch.

I really like that movie, because after having a happy marriage everything falls apart for a while caused by his wife's affair and he doesn't give up because of the strong love he has for his wife but especially his son. So he did everyhting he could to keep his family. I really enjoy that movie!!!

Enough already. How many times are they going to tell the same story? Granted, there was a different twist... it was the female cheating for a change, a nice change I might add... but... I had high hopes and was severely disappointed. Diane Lane's character was shallow, Richard Gere's character, extremely underdeveloped. Had they given a little more insight on the marriage, it might have worked. A complete flop.

This movie affected me a lot, because you really see the consequences of being unfaithful after many years of mariage and I think people who saw this movie will think twice before cheating on their husband or wife!!!

Unrealistic all the way. A beautiful & well married wowman goes up to a stranger's appartment to get a Band-Aid on her scratched knee? In NY city? Yeah, right! When was the last time the wind was so strong you litterally fell on top of another person? When a typical husband learns his beautiful wife is cheating on him, his first reflex is to go to the guy's place and calmly talk about it over a drink... ? I'm sorry... it could have been much better.
