Really sets you in the mind of a psycho. A great film. You think you know what's going on- then BAM. You thought wrong. Total twist. Only thing that upset me was that it didn't fully explain some of the things that happened earlier on in the movie. Still fantastic though.

This movie didnt have enough horror in it. The movie was over all very entertaining but it wasnt exactly horror material. It was more of a mystery or something but when it did have horror moments they were pretty scary.

Go see it!!! It is the best horror movie that I have seen this year. The actresses that played Anna and Alex had a great chemistry on screen.

This movie was very disappointing. I heard reviews on the radio that it was one of the best scary movies that have come out recently... WRONG! There are a couple of parts that make you jump but the story and the ending are horrible. Cheezey, cheap and unrealistic. Don't waste your time or your money!

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] The uninvited was a good movie you think that you know what is happening and it just proves you completely wrong. It took me awhile to understand it, but the ending was a major twist [...] very realistic in the mind of a physco.

I watched this as a screening and was really excited... and disappointed. The storyline, though had potential, has been totally played out. You don't need to have seen this movie to have seen it before. The actors (who are all usually great) did not preform up to par.

It seems like another one of those "creepy old house, new girl in town, creepy little demon kids" kind of movie... and that's exactly what it was. Very predictable, and not very scary. The plot was intriguing, though. The performance sucked.

This movie had the potential to be very very good if it wasn't for the plot holes created by the surprise ending. If they had found a way to tie those up, I would have rated it much higher. That being said, I still think it's worth a view, it does have some strong points.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] This was a superb psychological thriller. Mind you, I definitely picked the wrong night to see it, due to the little [...] sitting in the front row screaming their heads off. But, even with them, I had an enjoyable time at this movie. Loved the ending. Though I could not help but think about how tired I am of dead people dragging themselves along the ground and coming out from under things. Definitely a must see though, all in all.

Just another Hollywood remake of an Asian horror movie, this time the Korean movie "A Tale of Two Sisters". Fairly good rendition of it, but of course doesn't beat the original.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] Oh boy! I never would have guessed the ending! It shed a whole new perspective, causing a split mirror effect on the whole movie towards the end... which really made me disoriented and completely taken aback with a "WHAT IN THE WORLD?!" reaction. It was really weird and really surreal! The line between reality and illusion blurs.

This was an adequate portrayl for a psychological thriller but the concept for being a horror was extremely overrated. Hollywood felt like if they added irrelevant ghosts into the mix it would impress everyone! They are trying to make ghosts appear so unbelievable nowadays that the horror movies are just not good. Reality is what is actually scary so they should have incorporated perhaps poltergeists instead of these make believe "so-called ghosts". Overall, the theme behind the movie was good but the directors tried way too hard to portray it and it became a complete mess. 6/10 is very generous only because of the effort and the attempted understanding to psychology.

I feel that although "Taken" was a fairly good movie to watch," The Uninvited" was superior in terms of its psychological depth and emotional ride. If you are looking for unmitigated blood and gore and violence for the sake of violence at every turn, this intelligently crafted but suspenseful movie is not for you. Everything about this movie was right on, nothing too little or too much. A truly rare masterpiece!

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] The movie was good, until the ending was given away. If her sister was alive the whole time, it would make more sense and they should have also given more information about her stepmom and the Wright Children.

The movie was pretty slow through out and I was getting kind of bored during some scenes. The information rates it as a horror but it’s as big of a horror as a comedy. My girlfriend jumped a couple times but the jumpy parts are easy to tell when they are about to happen- just like most movies. The best part about this movie was the ending and it’s mainly the reason I gave it such a high score. It’s definitely a must see.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] Horrendous movie. This is just another in a trend of recent movies that feels the need to tell you one story for 98% of the movies and then at the end tell you that everything you just saw was make believe, it was all in the imagination of the lead character. That's exactly what this movie was. And not only did it tell you that everything you just saw was make believe, the new reality that it presented was just ludicrous and absolutely unbelievable and left all kinds of holes in the rest of the movie. Like, if Elizabeth Banks wasn't a killer, then where did the ghosts of the little kids (the wrights) come from? And what was the point of them even being in the movie at all? I hated this movie. It was a bad movie to begin with and then it just makes you mad at the end for wasting your time. How any producers can come up with a story like this and think that it will make a good movie that will entertain people is beyond me. It just reinforces the notion that hollywood is nuts, and looks at the world with an entirely different mentality than the rest of us.

I saw the original korean version "A Tale of Two Sisters" years ago, liked it, and fortunately, didn't remember much of the plot. However, after the first 10 minutes or so, I figured out a certain very important detail (maybe subconsciously, details of the original version re-surfaced, but IMO, the movie is very obvious) The original is creepier and more satisfying, but the remake is certainly worth a rent.
