How refreshing to find an original, witty, well-acted comedy that doesn't follow the "crude is funny" mentality that pervades Hollywood today. My wife and I had to pause the movie in a few parts because we were laughing so hard.

It was pretty freaking awesome! I really suggest going to see it. Some parts were not all too great but it's worth your money.

I was pleasantly surprised, because maybe I didn't expect much (?) I found the story line to be more than a bit corny, but the movie is saved by good acting and especially, good writing. It's more than funny at times and Ricky Gervais is good and witty as Bertram Pincus the dentist! Worth 7½.

Good premise. Found myself looking around the theatre in boredom occasionally. Is a renter, that's all.

I thought the movie had some good moments, but they were few and far in-between. Not even worth renting unless you want a nice little movie to watch with your girlfriend. Not that funny, and they could have done a lot more with basic concept of the storyline...

My husband and I loved this movie. Haven't had a laugh like this in a long time. We had tears rolling down our cheeks from laughing. Can't wait until it comes out on tv.

I thought this movie was fantastic. I loved the humour in it although you have to like British humour to really get it! I think it's a must-see!

Great story with some funny spots excellent mix of humour and seriousness. Go see this especially if you like books such as How to Win Friends and Influence People. This person learns how to deal with people as the movie progresses.

I took my wife to watch this movie expecting it to be a comedy but it turned out to be a PATHETIC movie. We didn't find it funny at all. It would be better off watching Mr. Bean at home and I can laugh over and over again. Well, it is just my opinion but check it out for yourself. It won't hurt!

Gotta admit this movie was just plain old boring. Not even funny the reason I'm giving it a 4 they had decent actors and a actress.

This was very average. The story line didn't have a bit of originality and the characters were weak. Ricky Gervais can be so much better in the right setting (eg the original version of The Office), but this was nowhere near what he can be.

Wow... I can't remember the last time I laughed that hard. My sides hurt, I couldn't breathe and the friend I went with spit her water out all over the floor. VERY funny movie.

A great date movie. I loved the comedic timing between Ricky Gervais and Kinnear and the sarcastic comments. A very interesting perspective on the after life.

Ricky Gervais' dry British wit is wonderful throughout this film. His interaction with other people, both alive and dead, is a pleasure to watch. And the ending is perfect, the anti-Hollywood.

Too funny! I am not into the whole ghost thing either but was pleasantly surprised - it is the kind of laugh out loud funny! Some excellent one-liners (i.e., smells like your grandmother - I keep chuckling about that one!) Definitely worth seeing!

I loved this movie. It was very entertaining, funny, heartwarming, and the acting was simply amazing. Ricky Gervais is incredible in this movie. Tea Leoni is excellent as well. Highly recommended.

This is a very funny movie! Ricky Gervais is perfect for this role and does a great job with it. Greg Kinnear was excellent as well. I enjoyed that they let Tea Leoni's character actually laugh at Dr. Pincus when they were interacting instead of giving the standard deadpan reaction to his odd behaviour, it was a very naturally acted part for Ms. Leoni... well done! I would heartily recommend this movie!

This is a very funny movie, but has a serious edge to it with kind of a twist on the standard "Ghost". The central character Ricky plays has a very sarcastic cutting style of humor similar to his work in The Extras.

Interesting, but to a POINT I like the lead actor-dentist. His sarcastic humor was better, but not enough. I did laugh well I did pay...

A very fine comedy. I was mesmerized by Dr. Pincus's personality. He is soo miserable!!! He's a dentist with a sensitive gag reflex, cutely appropriate. Absolutely loved the movie!

This movie was so hilarious I cried so many times throughout. Although the story has been done before, it was still so worth the price. For endless laughter that lightens the spirit it's a must see - I might go again.

I wasn't really sure about seeing this movie in the first place as I'm not big on the whole supernatural movie thing, however, I really enjoyed it. The actors did a great job and I laughed quite a few times at the attitude of the main actor. I would recommend it to people.
