Well Tyler Perry is a good writer and decent enough actor (he only plays a minor role in this movie) Sanaa plays a good money hungry b---h and Kathy Bates plays her role to perfection. The story makes sense, follows itself well and altogether is pretty coherent and watchable. Is it an oscar winner or even a memorable movie? No. But I sure will look out for what Tyler does in the future.

Well, maybe MASTERPIECE is an overstatement, but it still deserves the best possible rating when you compare it to most other movies out there. The excellent real life themes are likely a little too mature for the teen crowd. A pleasant discovery - the movie and cast are great, and all without special effects to dress it up... nicely done! Highly Recommended!

Now the only reason why I wouldn't give this movie a 10 is simply because I don't think I've seen anything that would be considered a masterpiece. With that said... Tyler Perry did an excellent job with this movie. I was starting to think that he was slipping based on Daddy's Little Girls and Meet the Browns, but once again... real life situations posted on the movie screen. I can appreciate the story line and the actors and actresses that played in this film did an excellent job. I must say, I couldn't figure out how well I was going to like it when I first saw the cast, but I'll be honest... Kathy Bates did an amazing job as well as Sanaa. In any respect, there was a lot that you could have taken with you out of this movie and I agree with one of the other comments that indeed, there is nothing like a woman scorned and although it was portrayed in a small fashion throughout this film, all I can say is... whether it be man or woman... no use in cheating because you'll get busted eventually. Before you start something with someone else... end the failing relationship. No one is worth that. No one. Thanks Tyler for yet another great movie.

This movie was very well done. Real life situations. The actors and actresses did a fantastic job. The humour was great as well. PS: watch your feedback comments! Everyone is entitled to their opinions. You slap people back in their heads. What are you defending! From someone that got slapped by your defending movie crew pr.

This movie reminds me of many quotes from a great book," You reap what you sow"," Love thy neighbour"," Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned"," The love of money is the root of all evil". This is a well made movie from Tyler Perry. It doesn't come with a sugar coated ending (some parts of it happy) Life & Relationships can be complicated as indicated in the film. I'm glad GOD's love & the love we show each other (in my opinion and in my held worldview) can help clean it up. This is the first Tyler Perry film I've seen. Makes me wanna go out and rent some more. Enjoy the show!

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.]
Tyler Perry hits his mark with this one the movie. The movie stars Sanaa Lathan as a woman who will stop at nothing to get a man she can't have a job to give her money to be secure. She plays a married woman with a bad side to her. Alfre Woodard plays best friends to Ms. Bates and their friendship will have you laughing through the movies. One line that got me laughing was when Alfre said to Bates," Where's Morgan Freeman? " as she was driving her cadillac. The men play roles where they are least dominant and the woman step and carry the home. Robin Givens plays a little part in the movie and does it well. The movie is worth a view and you will enjoy.
