I enjoyed this movie a lot. Didn't get a chance to see it in theatres but it was a treasure watching it at home with the family. Great entertainment for people who love mystery and adventure!

Terrible movie. Completely unbelievable. Like most movies today’s, very poor acting with over done CGI effects. Kids will enjoy this movie, but most adults with an IQ above the 3rd grade will be disappointed.

Good movie to see w/kids. One of the far fetched scene in this movie is when Sean gets a call from his mom. He's in the Centre of the Earth, don't try to make us believe he can get a call there when we can't even get good reception on a local call. Since I'm from Ottawa, liked the fact they mentioned it a few times in the movie and made me wonder if the movie was filmed in Ottawa.

Journey to the Center of the Earth was full of surprises at every corner, suspense, and happy times along the way. The one thing about it was getting out; maybe a little too simple? Josh Hutcherson was great; he's gotten quite big. One tip for him though: the mountain guide is too old for you!

I like Jules Verne and I don't mind Brendan Fraser but I couldn't stand this movie. I found it boring. The special effects and backgrounds looked weak. Some of the acting by Fraser and Hutcherson was awful. Some of the scenes were too stupid to be believed - the main one being able to get cell reception in the center of the Earth. The nice car placement advert at the end didn't help matters. The 1959 Pat Boone version was more enjoyable.

What a great surprise of a film. I was just going to see the 3d and was very surprised how good of a film it was. Very good story line and excellent special effects! Very entertaining! A must see in the theater in 3d. Like a Universal studios ride in Orlando but two hours of it!

I went with my husband and we had a blast! He actually ducked once to avoid an attacking fish. We laughed, we jumped, overall... very entertaining and a lot of fun!

Ok for kids, but a number of scientific flaws. For example: If the area found was destroyed by the heat, on a periodic basis, where do the plants and animals come from? How did the T-Rex skull not hit the sides of the volcanic tube on the return trip? How did the rail cart get a boost when it jumped the gap in the tracks, travel the distance without falling very far AND land on the tracks again?

I enjoyed this movie just for the aspect of something different. It was awesome to see the difference in the 3D today compared to how it used to be... I'm showing my age lol. A good family movie all in all but not for the very young children. (a few scary parts) All in all a very pleasant movie experience.

The worst movie ever. I and my girlfriend went there to see a high quality 3D work as we expected not to see any masterpiece. At the beginning, the 3D was giving me a headache, and then when they went to the center of the World it was OK. You should not expect any great 3D works, it's mostly old tricks and techniques, and oh God what a boring play and work. The worst 3D movie I have ever seen in my life in addition to the worst movie I have ever dared to watch.

This movie was horrible, it look like if it was based on a amusement park ride and not a book. Everything looked fake and the directing was terrible. The special affects are not that good, and the funny stuff is not that funny.

This is the best movie ever go watch it right now I love the part that Josh says "sweet I call front seat!" in the mining area and the part that Josh gives the diamond to an italian farmer, the look on his face was so, so, so, funny. I love that movie! The actors were great and funny you should do journey to the center of the Earth 2 I would see it!!!

First off the movie itself is very cheesy and kid-oriented but watching this film in 3D makes it totally worth it. The 3D effects are stunning and you WILL duck a couple times so things don't hit you in the head.

Fun and worth a look - mainly because of the 3D - which was excellent. But come-on guys - it's 4,500 miles to the center of the earth. I had hoped that there would be some modern-day scientific way that people would make it to the centre of the earth. Falling for about a minute and then announcing "We are at the centre of the Earth" doesn't quite make it. And by the way - I can't get even a local cel phone call in a concrete building - but at the centre of the earth! (Sign me up with that company!)
