I gave it a 6 since it is probably worth paying *something* to see it (just not too much) It was worse than the first one... seemed like they were just trying to trot out the same characters in order to make money, rather than trying to find any kind of new plot (or even a slighlty different twist on the plot for that matter) Liked the take off on the movie 300 in the fight scene... made me realize that I was bored with the movie. Overall, pretty good for the kids (age 10... they thought it was decent) but not the adults. Don't see it if you've seen the first... you'll be disappointed.

It had the potential to be fantastic, but it was very far from it, my kids didn't laugh at most of it, the humor was bad, I didn't laugh even once , and I really enjoyed the first one for its origionality and story line, but the humor in that one was pretty bad too.

Such a good movie! Has a very good story line that'll keep you intrigued with every second! Very adventurous and funny at the same time! Great family movie and everyone will MOST likely enjoy it!!

I did not want to see this movie in the first place but My friend really wanted to go. I did not expect much of this movie and it was not the greatest. It was boring and it was not worth the money. It is good for younger kids and it actually ok to rent.

Not as orginal as the first one; also was boring many parts of the movie.

A let down. Not as fresh or exciting as the first film. Special effects looked nice, especially the paintings but that's about it. Story is boring and predicable and the ending is incredibly sappy. This one won't be preserved in the Smithsonian any time soon.

Dear all, don't spend your money on seeing this movie. Excellent visuals effects. But this movie is very boring. This move made me almost fall asleep (not joking)

The first one was so good that I was sure that the second one would be too. I loved all the special effects and the premise for the movie was good as well. But, I found that the humour was dry and better suited for kids which was weird b/c the first one was geared towards a wider age spectrum. It had a good story but I would say overall a kids film.

Very good movie. Worth to see. Normally, second movie is not a good as first, but this one it is. With the special effects may be even better then first.

Good, simple entertainment! It serves the goal of escapism.

It was just as good as the first one. Loved it, took our 24 year old son and he laughed all the way through it, and he is hard to please.

Good to take your grand ma to see. So she can have a good nap and stop saying you never want to go... and you can see what you want and wake her... she will think you never left her side and she will shut up about...

This movie is definitely great, and not just a kids movie. It is a fast paced adventure, and who can resist the two adorable monkey's?

It's a nice film, although I liked the first one more, this one is pretty good. Ben Stiller did a good job, he's funny as always! Hank Azaria was also funny and I love the monkeys. The scenes were well done and it was an entertaining movie overall.

This movie tried too hard to do as well as the first one, but failed. Whoever cast Hank Azaria should be fired on the spot! Ben's acting me mediocre at best, it was as if he wanted to be somewhere else, or even he couldnt believe he was doing a sequel. Either way, I rated this move appropriately, I didnt pay to see it, and I am glad I didnt.

Dear people reading my comment, this as an okay moive. However, it is not the best movie you will ever see. It was sort of like shrek3. ( I think I spelt it wrong.) it was trying to be good like the other ones. So I would say little poeple would injoy it. But go to this movie with your family because it is worth it.

I took my nine year old grandson to this movie. It was a good family comedy. We both enjoyed it... me perhaps a little bit more than him (his first choice was the Terminator) I love Ben Stiller and I thought Hank Azaria was very, very funny.

Excellent special effects and visuals. Mediocre story. Poor sound effects. Not funny at all - even the children in the audience did not laugh. Did anyone else notice that the Egyptian's voice (Hank Azaria) was an imitation of Boris Karloff?

I didn't really enjoy this one as much as the first one. A few parts I really liked, but not as much as the first. Go see it though you may love it. It's not completely a bad movie.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] Nowhere near as good as the first one. It's a fantasy movie but there were still a lot of things that were too far fetched, like suddenly no security guards anywhere in the museum when all this is happening? No one noticed a plane flying through Washington DC airspace (Amelia Earhart) or a large Abe Lincoln walking around? I think I'm going to change my rating from a 6 to 5. And it wasn't very funny, simple as that.

This is probably the worst film ben Stiller has ever been involved with. Zero originality, not funny. Watching this film made me feel extremely uncomfortable and nervous. I think I even had to force myself to laugh a couple of times because of how unbelievably not funny this movie was."Predictable" does not do justice to how lame this was. I have seen every other ben Stiller movie and this was the worst. My girlfriend told me she really liked it at the end and since then we broke up.

Great movie! Best movie I have ever seen! Very adventurous and has two settings one in new york where the museum of natural history is and one in washington D. C. where the smithsonium is. I like how they mix up both museums in the story that makes it better.

I would definitely give 10 to Transformers, Star trek, 300... 9 to Ironman, slumdog, Fast & Furious... 8 to some very nice developed and original comedy or action movies... and finally 7 to Okay comedy movies like this one. I had some great laughs, but some scenes were SO lame I would have just deliberately walked out for a pee break. Overall, compared to those movies that get an average below 6, this one should be better. Below 7 would not be worth seeing on big screen. If you've got nothing else to do on a Tuesday, take a chance, perhaps you would really enjoy it.

It was a good movie, not as good as the first one. It has an odd story and there isn't a lot of Robin Williams... but it was still interesting to watch and its fun to watch with friends.

My Daughter and I really enjoyed this film. Was hesitant because Ben Stiller's role's and characters' are so predictable, but this was a very good movie. Definitely worth taking the family out to see.

I went to see this with a group of freinds and we had all seen the first movie. We were all disapointed with it. I felt like they were trying to hard to be funny and live up to the first one and so the jokes were just stupid and somewhat predictable. The story-line lacked something special. The best bits were the 1 on 1 back and forth bantering between Ben Stiller and various other characters! It sadly does not live up to expectations but there are some good moments, fairly standard for a sequal.
