Wow, finally a comedy that is actually funny! It's kind of silly, but I guess that's what I was in the mood for.

May 1 2009 ; My favorite movies at the moment are Journey to the Center of the Earth, Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience and now The Rocker! It's a must see movie! Rainn Wilson is hilarious, and you'll probably faint from laughing so hard. Teddy Geiger's voice is amazing & the songs are so good that I even bought the Soundtrack. Emma Stone, Josh Gad, Jason Sudeikis (Is that how you spell it? ) and Christina Applegate did a great job :)

I found it was a boring over-acted movie that didn't enjoy very much.

This was one of the best movies I have ever seen in my hole entire life. I loved the part when he flew off the car and then came back to life that was so hilarious. The songs are so good I am putting them on my ipod nano. Who ever made this masterpiece is the best movie maker. Everyone drop what ever your doing and go rent the rocker or should sa the best movie ever.

A fairly standard teen movie. Rainn Wilson's move to the big screen should have been with a much higher quality of comedy, but this wasn't bad. Not a disappointment, as I kind of suspected it might be. If you laugh when people fall over or get hit with things, as plenty of people seem to, you'll probably laugh hysterically.

If you like 80's outfits, then see this movie - definitely my favorite part. The wardrobes in general were pretty great - especially the young, frowning, guitarist girl's clothes. I wish I was in highschool again just to get away with wearing such trendy, punk clothes. It's not a memorable movie by any means, but it was cute and funny.

Good movie! Must go see! One of my top movies. I went on the first day it came out and it was funny because it was only me and my friend in the movies!

Good performance, not over the top yet still funny. I don't really have a complaint. Entertaining and worth the money.

This movie is great for the kids... predictable plot and bizarre ending. The main character is a Jack Black clone with defects. Wait for the video release... it won't be in the theaters for long!!

Better than I had expected. Pretty standard story. The younger crowd will enjoy as it is funny and quite clean.

A very funny movie in spots, but more importantly, a movie that leaves you feeling good. The writing was quite clever, and I really enjoyed the story. This is not a "Superbad" or "Tropic Thunder" kind of movie... which is a good thing. Go see it! The trailers and promotion don't do it justice.

This was mindless fun. I like Rainn Wilson and the Office so that is why I gave it a little higher Mark than it may deserve.

Rainn Wilson's first major role is a hit and bullseye! Although the plot may have been used many times even if we can't recall it, it is a hilarious take on what many bands might've been through in their time. I walked into the theatre with low expectations. In fact, since it was a Sunday afternoon, me and my sister were the only people there at the time. Now, on to the movie itself. There were more jokes and things that made me laugh than I expected. There were even some parts that made my stomach hurt, and I'll tell you now that I didn't see it coming. The story used here is old, but still a great take on it. I couldn't find any plot holes, but then again, you'd have to watch the same film over and over to find them. I'll just say now that there weren't any noticeable ones. If the language of this movie was not "close-call", it would've been rated PG-13 and not PG. Also there would have to be more rude humour than crude humour. Oh, and there would have to be more references to sexual parts. Although I liked is movie, I can see why some people might not be satisfied. Some jokes that were attempted to pull off didn't make any sense at all, and the "irresponsible" type of character may seem outdated to some. I most certainly recommend this to anyone who likes to rock, and anyone who likes to laugh at stupidity. Although anyone can enjoy a good laugh, and some old fashioned rock and roll! m/

More than I expected. The theatre was almost empty, but everyone enjoyed the movie, It was original, funny, and you felt great afterward. Rainn Wilson and Teddy Gieger were awesome. Also the small roles by various SNL cast members and Aziz Ansari were a bonus to a wonderful movie! See it now! :)

I love a movie with an important message and an equally important lesson for us all to learn from! ; When Robert Fish Fishman, played superbly by actor Rainn Wilson, is fired as the drummer from his band Vasuvius, a name which he had picked himself nine years ago when he started with the band, he becomes totally overcome with bitterness until he's given a second chance at fame when his nephew asks him to join his band, ADD for the prom night performance at his high school! Wonderfully directed by Peter Catleneo and a great cast such as the sexy and very natural Christina Applegate, Josh Gadd, Teddy Geiger and Emma Stone (who's also great in House Bunny)! Although I could have done without a couple of scenes, this is a delightful comedy with a great message that no matter how many hurdles come our way, weather it's in the form of rejection or otherwise, we should never ever give up on our dreams... Amen to that!

I laugh from start to finish. If you're a fan of Dwight Schrute of The Office you'll enjoy his performance in this movie... Also good job with the other actors.

I expect a few scenes to become pop culture references in the future. Very funny. Won't change your life but will take you someplace else for a couple of hours.
