It's a Masterpiece! It's hilarious too! Going to see it again and definitely buying the DVD when it comes out. Good story, great scenery and music. Had the audience laughing often.

Brought back a lot of memories when I was growing up, and all the ABBA music I heard in my days. Loved it, will go see it again.

I really enjoyed this movie, and not just because of the great music. The lead actresses all did a grand job and more than made up for Pierce Brosnan's bad singing. Definitely a must see on the big screen.

It was amazing! I enjoyed every moment of it. You definitely won't get bored. It's very entertaining. The storyline is interesting and the music definitely adds to the excitement, especially if you're a fan of Abba like I am. :)

I thought it was great! I thought most of the songs fit in well with what was happening in the movie, and I enjoyed it.

Great movie, great actors. The story is ok but the music is nice to listen. Pierce Brosman is not a good singer but he did the job.

A little bit "corny", but the music is great and the plot is pretty funny. If you're into renting movies, I'd wait because the "big screen" doesn't really add anything. Meryl Streep is great and Pierce Brosnan looks good, so there are saving features. It's up to you, but I'd probably wait for the video (although I didn't)

Literally one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Take into account that I'm a fan of musicals and love Abba's music; but almost every second of the film was painful to watch. My girlfriend and I were both stunned at how bad it was -- several times over the course of viewing, the phrase "Kill me now!" was uttered. Meryl Streep? Pierce Brosnan? Whatever medication the casting director is on is not working. They're both awful choices for a musical, and together they had no chemistry. Strike that -- they had the opposite of chemistry. Like, say, blueberry pancakes with mustard. The acting was absolutely horrid on almost all fronts, just frantic mugging with the same fake intensity serving for every supposed emotional portrayal. The only exception to the terrible, terrible acting was Colin Firth, who still had to deal with terrible, terrible direction and an inane script. OK, the script and music: In nearly every instance, the music had NOTHING to do with the plot's momentum. The songs were wedged in with a pry-bar, and the plot changes were sudden and arbitrary just for the sake of fitting in another song. The singing and dancing were also horrific -- and when bad dancing can't even be hidden with re-takes and camera angles, then you know it's really bad. Similar to the direction, the choreography was so bad as to induce convulsions of disgust in me and my gf. Finally, yes the movie was set in a beautiful location; but very little of it was shown. The scenery could've played a much greater role, and could have been displayed with much greater elegance and sensitivity. But it seems there was a vacuum of elegance and sensitivity among the directors and crew of this movie. So, so BAD! The fact that so many people rated this movie highly moves me to puzzlement, disappointment, and awe at what some people will ingest with gusto, and to fear for the general direction of our civilization. (Written tongue in cheek, btw.)

This will be my 3rd time seeing it. I've taken my husband, my grandchildren and my Mother. It's a fun, relaxing, touching, and very-well played movie/musical. Back to the old musicals... we should have more of these movies... they raise your spirits, they make you hum all day... A real must-see movie!

From the amazing music to the heart felt moments in this film every aspect of this movie is a 10/10 rating! Who knew Meryl Streep had an amazing voice? She played the role better than any actress has ever played Donna.

Ok... I have to say I was with my wife there and 3/4 of the theatre were women. It was nice and funny but I don't recommend it if you don't like Abbas's song of course and if you don't like musical movies. It has been awhile I didn't watch a good movie like that for this type of movie.
