This movie was a good light feel good movie. I would recommend for women, I don't think many guys would like it though.

Best musical to date! Funny, uplifting, great music & dancing! Oscar-worthy!

I loved it! The singing was excellent, except for Brosnan who can't sing a note, but overall excellent acting, magnificent views, and a good story. I never realized what a great singer Meryl Streep was! I normally don't like musicals, but this was done exceptionally well, and I love Abba, so I couldn't go wrong! Go see it! You'll leave the theatre feeling totally euphoric!

I generally like musicals and "chick flicks", but this one was cheesy & a waste of time. I've seen better made-for-TV movies.

Who doesn't love an ABBA musical? Ever since the Aussies showed us what we were missing, I have enjoyed every one I've seen. This is one more in the set. I really enjoyed myself (I'm not even that much of an ABBA fan) I found the young actress very charming... and for those of you who panned Pierce Brosnan's singing... shame on you! I even enjoyed that, although he's no Pavarotti/Sting. What can I say about Meryl Streep... is there nothing she isn't great in? Loved it. I was surprised to find myself singing along to even the more obscure ABBA hits (where on earth did I pick up the lyrics? )

Oh My God this movie was fantastic. This movie just makes you forgot about any problems and just puts you in a great mood. I sang and sang and just was so happy. I will be going to see it againnn. I saw the play in LasVegas and was so excited when I heard they were making this movie. This is a must see and I certainly will be buying it when it comes out on DVD. I would rate this movie 9.5. Knowing me knowing you is the best I can do... Love it.

I was pleasantly suprised when I went to Mamma Mia. I don't usually go for musicals but this one ranks up there with Grease. Loved seeing the different character actors singing and dancing. It was a light hearted movie with obviously music everyone loves and remembers. Couldn't help but sing along!

Entertaining and cheesy. If you like ABBA, you'll enjoy this movie and you'll realize that their songs actually make sense and are pretty good at telling a story. Meryl Streep is good (although she shouldn't raise her voice too high), Amanda Seyfriend seems a little too young to be getting married, but is okay in the part and I have to say that Pierce Brosnan should never ever sing... his voice is horrible. Julie Walters and Christine Baranski are hilarious! It's an entertaining time at the movies.

It was fun and exciting... a lot of singing and dancing (obviously), makes you want to get up and dance through the aisles of the movie theatre.

It was awesome. Going to see it again. Music and dancing was well done and toe tapping. You wanted to get up and start dancing and singing along with the show. Brought back a lot of memories from the past when ABBA was going strong.

Mamma Mia was simply put hokey at best. The male singers were okay and probably should stick to acting while the females were not bad at all. More of a video rental than a big screen movie.

Really enjoyed it. We started out to the 7 pm show but it was all sold out so we just went shopping and waited till the next one at 10. It was fantastic and the actors did a marvelous job with the singing. I am a great ABBA fan and have been for many years.

What a wonderful, wonderful movie. Meryl Streep shows her versatility. There is no question as to why she has won the Oscar in the past. She will definitely be nominated for this movie (and from what I have seen so far, will win) Truly a versatile actress. The maternal chemistry between Sophie and herself worked! Is she really in her late 50's. Watching her sing and dance (especially the trampoline scene on the bed) makes me respect her even more. Amanda, (Sophie) is one to watch. Not only is she a great singer, and has the making of a superb actress. This was a fun fun movie. Go see it!!

I wish they made more movies like this. It is a pleasant change from all the violence you read and hear about. I make a point of not going to movies with violence. After seeing Mamma Mia I left the theatre elated.

Mamma Mia was a complete bore! The dancing, the acting, and the plot were extremely cheesy. Only thing that I enjoyed was the ABBA music, but besides that it was a bad musical. I was squirming in my seat waiting for it to end so that I could leave. The movie was not plausible nor would I call it a form of entertainment. I think this movie is highly overated.
