I've seen this movie three times now, and am going to see it at least once more. I loved it!! It's such a fun movie, one of the best musical movies I've seen. I'm a huge fan of musicals and Abba, and I absolutely love this movie!

What alot of FUN!! The entire movie made me want to jump up and dance and sing. Actually, I did sing throughout the entire film. Pierce is still a heart throb and Meryl Streep is a professional all the way! I think those that did not find it fun or entertaining need to break away from some of the negative movies and see this as a film of pure fun and delight. Sit back and enjoy Greece's landscape and ocean... if nothing else!!

Fantastic! Although I never saw the original musical, the acting in this is great. Pierce Brosnan's singing wasn't the best, but that only adds to the amusement factor. A movie that's really just pure fun.

I actually would give it a 9.5 out of 10. There is just one short lull near the end!! The singing was great - cornbally just like the old musicals - but that's the way it's supposed to be. It was extremely entertaining and the audience was just howling with laughter through most of it!! Way to go lead characters - Meryl Streep - excellent, Christine whoever - sooo funny. Pierce Brosnan - not a singer but with a build like that who cares!!

I LOVED it! Meryl Streep is a professional all the way and has a good voice to boot! Pierce Brosnon says openly that he is NOT a singer, although his voice sounds alot like Eric Clapton who says he too is NOT a singer. (didn't seem to stop him from being successful) The movie makes you feel wonderful and is very uplifting. It has a great story line and well worth the money. Don't miss this movie!

PEOPLE OF THE WORLD!!! This is the best movie in the world Harry Potter is awesome 2 but this is Mamma Mia were taking about it is hysterical it's a great musical the play was great the movie was a masterpiece GO SEE IT it is a must see if you like comedy and musicals go see it even if you don't like musicals eeeK!

Saw it two nights ago, and I'm still humming ABBA tunes!! The perfect summer musical! This movie has it all: comedy, romance, a self-fulfillment process, along with ABBA songs, a great cast and an exceptional scenery of Greek islands.

It was ok - they could have cast better singers/actors like Bette Midler would have been a better mom and Antonio Banderas for one of the suiters - these were one night stands so how come they're such glum looking guys (who can't sing) Wait for it on DVD!

I wasn't gonna watch this movie because I already saw the actual musical but someone told me that the movie was a lot better- so I watched it but to be honest I dunno... it was fun to watch but it just can't be compared to the actual musical I guess. The daughter had a very nice voice.

It's gonna sound stupid, but I didn't know going in that this was a musical. Just so happens I love musicals, so I wasn't upset with that. However, Pierce Brosnan should be shot on the spot if he is ever filmed singing again. It was just awful. The movie was a bit far fetched and over the top, but once I accepted the fact that it was based on a broadway musical it started to make sense. Don't go see this if you don't like silly musicals. Do go see it if you're looking for a fun girly movie for girls night. But expect a bit of silliness.

I saw Mamma Mia on Broadway and rushed to see it in theaters as soon as it came out... it was great I'm going to go see it for the fourth time in theaters soon with my kids. I have already seen it numerous times with other people it is capturing for all audiences, it is clean for younger children and exciting and well spirited enough not to bore others.

Very good movie... Meryl Streep is as good as usually... Only bad side is the singing of Peter Brosnan that was horrible... the male casting was not very good... but all the actress are the best. Worth seeing!

A delicious movie. They used to say of great actresses that they can recite - or sing as the case here - a phone book (Canada411? ) and make us cry - she passed the test with flying colours. The movie- sweet and campy - is the ultimate in chick flicks, and if you happen to be a single mom whose child is about to get married (as is the case here) you will stay for the second show!

YOU definitely need to be an Abba fan to appreciate the movie, the colors of Greece, mixed in with the musical surrealism makes for a very enjoyable movie. Being entertained and lost in the big screen is what movie making is all about. Don't expect realistic scenes with any musical, just enjoy a story with comfort music this I did and was well rewarded.
