I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and would recommend it to anyone who needs a "pick-me up and feel good". Really :- ( if you don't enjoy it, it may mean you're taking life too seriously.

A bit campy at first as it was performed as it would be performed on stage. Once you got used to that, it was a GREAT movie. Same as the theatre stage version.

Such a feel good movie! Not a great Abba fan but that doesn't matter. I loved it all. Great casting. Who cares if they cant all sing, though I was pleasantly surprised at Colin Firth. Loved the movie, loved the cast, loved it all. I laughed , I cried it was all super, amazing therapy... be sure to stay til the very end, through all the credits too...

The people who give this move a bad rating must not like to smile because that's all I did from the minute the movie started, and especially at the end when they all wore the flashy ABBA suits. That was too funny.

Me and my friends were singing and dancing in the aisles. I listened to ABBA with my mom and love them. I told my mom she has to go see it and to drag my dad because he will even love it.

If you like Abba music then this is a must see movie; the songs that they selected were fantastic. All the Actors did a great job. I can't wait for it to come out of DVD.

I found the editing a bit iffy. The scenes were choppy and it seemed that it was a rush to get the movie to theater. The editing could have been more professional. It was like a school production. Abba's songs are fabulous. Meryl Streep surprised me in that she sings quite well. Pierce Brosnan... great to look at... as a singer... not so much. Julie Walters steals the show. It is not the kind of musical I would see more than once. Some of the scenes made no sense... again rushed editing. All in all if you have no high expectations, the music is great, the scenery is great and that's about it.

One of the best movies/musicals I've seen. Absolutely loved it, the acting is great, all actors sing themselves and pretty good too. Meryl Streep's performance is as usual impeccable.

I've seen the play 3 times and really enjoyed. Was looking forward to the movie, wanted to see if was as good as the play because sometimes movies aren't the same as books or plays. Really enjoyed the movie, plan to see it again as I enjoyed it immensely. Movie had had the same comic and musical. Really enjoyed it, A MUST SEE.

Awww... it is such a nice movie! The actors are great, Meryl Streep is awesome. You will have a huge smile throughout the whole movie (you may even shed a few tears)! The cast is magnificent!! And careful, the movie is going to make you want to go to Greece because the setting is breathtaking!! You don't even have to be an ABBA fan, or know their songs to enjoy the movie. I totally recommend it.

Did I see a different movie than everyone else? I thought the casting was terrible - Meryl Streep, while an incredibly talented actor, is too old to play Sophie's mother and Pierce Brosnan can't carry a tune in a bucket. I thought the movie was just plain silly and try as she might, Meryl Streep could not save it.

WOW WOW WOW Film magnifique j'ai pleuré j'ai rit pleins d émotions c'est vrai que c'est de ma génération car j'ai 58 ans. Pour les émotions le film est très juste ce que la mere ressentait moi aussi j étais sur la même longueur d onde il y a longtemps qu un film m avait bouleversé autant. Si vous connaissez ABBA vous allez adorer. J'ai refait tourner le cd une partie de la soirée!!! Que de souvenirs!!! Bravo Bravo!!!

Great movie, laughed all the way through it as did the entire audience. Yes we know that some of the main characters can not sing well but it does not take away that the movie was well written and enjoyable to watch. It wont win any TONY awards for stage production but you do come away with a smile on your face and a song in your heart.

If you know the premise, know the ABBA songs and especially if you have seen the musical, you will love this. Otherwise, you may think it is bizarre. Still, Meryl Streep, Piere Brosnan and Colin Firth, what's not to love?

Mama Mia what a movie!. This is not just a musical based on a theatrical production but a true feast for the eyes, the ears and the soul!. It is not just the feal good but the feel fantastic movie of the year! And mama Mia what a cast! ; Let's put it this way: I always told people that Mery Streep was one of my favourite all round actresses, meaning of course that not only can this Godess of the big screen act like it's going out of buisness, but she can sing, dance, and then some!. Well guess what folks, now that I've seen this rare gem of a movie, Meryl Streep is now officially my favorite actress of all time! ; I mean come on, is there anything that this woman can't do up to the ultimate perfection level yet making it look and sound so simple? ; Of course this doesn't mean that the rest of the cast in this movie isn't great and I'm a huge fan of all of them!.. And then to top it off, Abba songs that have become more popular over the years than cream cheese (Sorry for the tacky comparison, but I'm so excited and obviously, I cannot hide it)! Just to give you an idea how amazing this movie is, I had already decided way before the middle of the movie that I was going to see it again! ; Need I say more?
