Too visually dark, and you just can't care about either of them OR what happens to the humans in this movie. I hate when that happens! What drew me in was Alien vs. Predator, but there is no resemblance to that film in the least... yuk.

Not as good as the first but still memorable the Pred-Alien was sweat and the main Predator "Wolf" was not to bad himself. We finally get see a little bit of the Predator home world sure it may be only like 1 minute's worth but still better than nothing. And what a surprise a character reminiscent of Ellen Ripley from the classic Alien franchise called Kelly O'Brien being a both beautiful and headstrong women who like I just said is a lot like Ellen Ripley. And a little teen love never hurts in fact it actually helps so the love relationship between Jesse and Ricky. Awesome movie check it out.

I love all the alien movies. I like the Predator movies. I loved the first AVP and I was very excited to see this one. I don't mind the gore. I don't mind the acting. But what I do mind is that the movie was to dark! I couldnt even see the fight scenes. I couldnt even see the long awaited hybrid battle scene. So all you get is a bad movie with bad acting and loud noises. Maybe if you could actually see the aliens fighting then I would consider it a good movie.

I loved the aliens series and predator and alien vs predator was pretty good but requeim was very disappointing bad acting sos sos special effects mostly just a gore fest not even much story line to keep you busy between the blood a few good scenes of the creatures fighting all in all not the best okay for a rainy sunday.

This is a pretty good movie overall, especially if you love sci fiction. This one is probably better than the first one. There was a somewhat high amount of gore, which is probably the only factor I don't like about it.

It really seems that the Brothers Strauce now what the fans of the AVP saga want in A Si-fi movie but they fail to deliver any terror, although they do a great job with who lives and who dies and the susspence element. Its also a million times better than the crappy first AVP movie.

Contrary to some opinions I've read, one doesn't have to be a movie 'snob' to hate AVP2. Too many genres were merged and their cliches abound. The original movies were horror movies in the true sense. They were not 'slasher' or 'torture porn' sub-genres of horror. The so-called 'story' of AVP2 had nothing to do with aliens or predators. It was your typical 'high school flick' where geek likes bad girl who dates popular but possessive evil jock. This was overdone in the 80s and rehashes Rebel without a Cause. But the two sparring creatures takes the 2 franchises into camp and kitsch; think of the Universal studios attempts to keep their franchises going by having Frankenstein monster, the Wolfman and Dracula together sparring in the same flick. Or think of the sequels of Godzilla in endless tagteam matches where either he or other monsters are controlled by aliens. Or think of the many El Santo movies where he battles mummies, witches, and the Universal monsters. Yawn. I agree with one commentator who pointed out that this movie doesn't promise much, so we should be satisfied with the gore-fest. However, the original Alien and Predator movies didn't give us 'senseless violence'; the violence had reasons. The originals delivered more BECAUSE they appealed to reason and not to mere bloodlust of certain viewers. If blood and guts is the highest form of your idea of entertainment, go see Last House on the Left and the movies of Herschel and Lewis. They still did blood and guts better and inspired derivative works like TCMassacre and its sequels.

I went in without expecting much which is why I thoroughly enjoyed it. Aliens Vs Predator is an action movie slash gore fest as one should expect! I felt the ending was satisfying and sets up the next movie with much anticipation.

Oh my god... my favourite movie now so intense kept me going the whole movie. Alot of action much better than the first, truly an epic. I had to travel for 4 hours in a car to the theatre and back and it was totally worth it! It was very gruesome so if you dont like gruesome... don't watch it...

Great AVP movie. The action was great. You see the predator all the movie. I loved it and if you like the predator franchise I suggest you see this movie. Don't let the negative critics change your mind if you love predator you will love this movie.

I don't know what people were expecting here. A story? Good acting? Save for the first Alien those two traits have never really been the trademark of these two monster geners. Look this delivers what the first AVP didn't. Lots of action between the Predator and the Aliens, although for the life of me why they would send one Predator to battle potentially thousands of Aliens is beyond me. Anyway the predator has some cool weapons and the Aliens are especially vicious their are lots of deplorable humans so you don't really care who gets killed which all worked for me. Go see it if you just put your brain on auto pilot and eat some popcorn.

One of the greatest films on the planet. You people think that this is stupid why you buy your ticket. Don't talk about a movie that has a great amount of suspense. Sure a couple parts are weired but good beginning and great end can't wait till avp3.

The first two Alien movies were masterpieces, one of suspense, one of action. The Predator movie, while not as great, was good, solid action. I was pleasantly surprised by the first Alien V. Predator movie but AVP Requiem lacks suspense, a clear, compelling plot, known actors and special effects awesome enough to make you overlook the aforementioned serious flaws. Opening with the grotesque deaths of a child was offputting enough but when an alien is shown slavering outside a hospital nursery full of babies, I wanted to walk out. It felt like the movie was directed by junior high boys who wanted to see what they could get away with and how much they could gross you out. One of the top 3 worse movies I have ever seen.

This was worse than a c movie, I would call it a feces festival. I would personally like to thank the producers for beating the life out of two classic characters, the last installment was pushing it, now there is nothing left but sadness. I promise you great disappointment, continue this trend and we wont even be able to enjoy the originals, after leaving the theater I actually vomited.

This movie was terrible on all levels. They did everything in the dark so it was very low budget with accordance to graphics. The storyline was non existent. All I could see was an odd fellow wearing a rubber costume now and then. BRUTAL... see at your own risk. I loved the other alien movies and this was incomparable. (I loved even the last AVP)

If you've seen any of the other seven Alien or Predator movies, then you'll be disappointed: nobody of any recognition, obviously a much lower budget than all of the other films, more gore than suspense (lacking what I call the 'Hitchcock moment' throughout), and the story was lacking (there was one, but you'd have to want it to enjoy it)

This movie is clearly low budget, much lower compared to the first AVP. How did they screw this one up I don't know. The first one was very good, the story, plot, and yes even the acting (at least they had some known faces) This one really truly sucked. Why send 1 predator? And why does his costume look like something you buy during halloween. The first AVP the Predators are big, dominating looks. Anyway, low budget film, bad action, bad acting, bad plot, everything just bad.

Ok let me first explain the 7 out of 10 rating. I rate movies based on who would see this kind of movie Of course my grandmother who likes elvis movies would not think this is a 7 movie. That being said this films is what it is. Aliens killing each other on earth. There are some I knew that was gonna happen and the odd didn't see that coming. Not ready for the oscars but it's what you would expect.

I liked Aliens vs Predator and was looking forward to seeing this second one, but unfortunately, I was sorely disappointed. It wasn't as great as everyone made it out to seem. I don't normally watch these kinds of films because I am a wimp, but I wasn't scared at all. I admit there were some parts that literally made you jump from your seat, but they weren't scary. This film was all violence and very little storyline. It honestly was not worth the money seeing it in theatres. It really was not what I had expected. They could have done a much better job at making this film.

Although this is infinitely superior to the first movie in every way, that really isn't saying much since the first AVP was an absolute joke, especially for a big fan of the movies and the comics (which is what truely started the interest in making the movies) What are the things I like about this movie? (1) the predator's weapons aren't affected by the alien blood (just like in the comics and it makes sense) (2) the directors kept the original James Cameron alien scream when it gets hurt and also kept the original look of the alien warriors (3) the predator's ability to track its target by scanning for the slimy residue it left behind. In reality a slug's mucous trail can be detected by use of different wavelengths of light (4) the different lifecycle induced by the alien hybrid (5) we get a glimpse of the predator homeworld. Awesome. Whats the things I really hate? (1) that daft weapon the predator has that allows him to punch through walls and the ground! What conceivable use would that have on a hunt!!! Its only in the movie for purely aesthetic effect. (2) how fast do these directors and the director from the first movie think the alien lifecycle is?!!! (3) chestburster scene in this movie was bloody awful!! Compare it to James Cameron's, Ridley Scott's and David Fincher's. (4) too much sentimentality and lovey dovey nonsense with the characters. (5) the ending is awful and I'm sorry but it makes absolutely no sense and doesn't have continuity with the rest of the Alien franchise. (6) Why does a distress signal get sent to a lone predator to handle the situation?! Thats just daft. (7) this really bewildered me. Why does the predator take off his protective armour when fighting the main and most dangerous alien? I know why... the directors think it adds tension when it only makes people shake their heads in bemusement. (8) finally if this lone predator isn't there to hunt but to clear up a mess and destroy the alien infection, why does he take the time to skin and hang up a guy that posed no threat to him? Surely just killing him would have made more sense. All in all it was entertaining enough but its still crap! The company making these movies have obviously secured the right to make them so why not give it to a good director who has proven himself (like Cameron, McTiernan or Scott. Hell Id even settle for Fincher and he ruined Alien Resurrection!) and just make a movie on the original graphic novel. Id strongely advise anyone to read that comic. Its great. Also at least with a proven director he/she wouldn't run the risk of being sued for plagurism. AVP2 has copied everything from the predator and alien movies and tried to knit them together. Problem is with this movie is that the directors have tried to do this and its like trying to put a square object into a triangular hole! There were a lot of people around me at the theatre shaking their heads or rubbing their eyes at a LOT of this movie just like me!

This movie delivers what you should expect -senseless violence, both human and alien. It is more graphic than the first AVP, the storyline blows, yes but what did you expect? Neither the Aliens nor Predator films had great stories either. The movie is fast-paced however and I do agree that it is a little too dark and raining all the time. You don't really see much. Ending stinks, characters are horrible. Good thing they spared no expense on top-notch A-list acting! It's like Jurassic Park -you only go to see the dinosaurs, so stop complaining about the storyline. It was entertaining even in its lameness.

What I love about a movie with bad reviews is that it gets my expectations way way down. I go into the movie knowing its garbage and hopefully it turns out to be ok. Well, I'm sorry but this movie was much better than the reviews led me to believe. I really enjoyed the action from beginning to end. Much better than the first. I hope they make a third.

This movie was great you must see it there are so many new weapons and predator seems to be allot smarter then the last avp where two died in no time. And it pretty cool how they show you a clip of predators home world only one thing I didn't like is how you couldn't see the aliens that well to zoomed in just a tad to much.
