Quite funny - the premise is hilarious and there are many laugh-out-loud moments. Definitely a movie to watch when you want smart, witty humour.

Britsh humour, very Pythonesque.

Lots of fun in a free-wheeling, non-PC sort of way. The guy who plays the fiance is absolutely hilarious. It's worth it for his performance alone!

As much as I love British comedy and humor and didn't quite like this one very much.

This is one of the funniest movies I have seen in a long time! I laughed pretty much from beginning to end. Definitely a must see if you like British comedy.

One of the stupidest movies I have ever seen. Allegedly a "comedy," I laughed TWICE. The script seemed like it was cobbled together on the fly, and the acting was pathetic. This is NOTHING like "4 Weddings and a Funeral" which people are comparing it to. This is total crap. If I was allowed to rate it a ZERO, I would. Avoid at all costs.

Hysterical. Best British comedy I have seen in a long time. I rarely laugh out loud at comedies... at best they make me smile. I had some very hearty belly laughs from this film and recommend it to anyone who enjoys the British sense of humour.

Laugh out loud brilliant british comedy... for those who like this kind of stuff. I recommended it to a friend who's not into the sort of british dark humor and she hated it. But if you like that sort of thing, definitely go see it!

A shot in the arm and one movie not to be missed. We all need to laugh at ourselves and our human nature. I will bet that we all know people like some of those zany characters. Perhaps we even see ourselves in some odd fashion. Humour as only the British can present.

This is a funny and light film.. A culmination of how humor and death can co-exist.

It's so subtle, so delicate to describe a woman's complicate feeling. Picture and music is wonderful too.

A terrible waste of time. The writing is that of a group of un-tutored schoolboys. I was not amused by observing the effects of inadvertent drug use. It was a complete bore to have to see the same "joke" repeated on three separate actors. In addition, the movie is vulgar; a sign of the writers and directors complete lack of any originality is displayed by their reliance on "toilet humor".

This movie is a real gem of a comedy. I definitely think it's a must see. Great performances, hilarious storyline developments, and several unforgettable moments make this Brit pic one of the funniest movies I have seen in a long time! I just hope this flick gets a wide enough release here in North America to be seen by a large enough audience. Too many such gems get minimal releases here, while too many bad movies get full studio and theatre support. Death at a Funeral is the most fun you can have at a wake!!!

Only the British can turn self-deprecating slapstick into brilliant humour and social commentary. Not for anyone harbouring "isms" like agism, homophobism, sexism, etcetera. Scenes with Terrible Taste, at times, just like real life. Wonderful performances, over the top yet realistic, convincing, even in the most ridiculous situations. A treat; this is why we bow down to the British wit.

When the real spirit of humour is lost in Hollywood, and indies are busy taking themselves too seriously with 'informing us', the true spirit of entertainment with humanity is rare to find; until now. With a great script, a simple event proves to be more complicated and humanity still prevails. But its how the unspoken made me laugh, how the wit sparkled across my eyes and mind and heart. This is a film to fall in love with! I rarely find comedies that make me laugh. This is a very welcome discovery!

Just shows you how generations feel and think. A few 20 somethings behind me were laughing hysterically at the movie while after one hour, I walked out and asked for and received a refund. I thought it started out cute but degenerated to stupid.

Saw this movie last week. What a comedy! Laughed from the beginning to the end. A real British movie; don't think American could make this kind - in the sense of slang, accent. Really enjoyed it, as much as I enjoyed Rush Hour 3!!

Funniest movie ever! Never stopped laughing through the whole thing. It just kept getting even more hilarious. Cast is brilliant. Especially Simon character he was amazing totally forgot he was acting. Want to see it again. For those that didn't think it was funny... jeez it must be really difficult not having a sense of humor!! It's about time we had a movie like this. We need more movies like this one, roaring, good, fun!!!

Better than the local reviewers (vancouver) account but not that much better. I was ready to give it a miss but went anyway and there were some really good moments -- the Simon character is the best example -- but there also some very lame moments. Worthwhile seeing, if you are a fan of dark comedy but if not... wait for the video or one of the cheap cinema's.

It's a bit deranged at times, but hilarious too. The wonderful acting by a talented cast shows that you don't have to have a star to make a great film - ensemble acting of the highest order.

I have to disagree with the majority of comments above. This movie was a bore. I cannot figure out why the theater was laughing out loud at most scenes. The cast had almost no chemistry and the comedic timing was way, way off. I would not recommend paying to see this film in the theater. It says a lot about our selection of films these days when one such as this receives such glowing reviews!?

Not since "A Fish Called Wanda" have I laughed so much at a movie. The whole audience was roaring through most of the movie; it was thoroughly enjoyable. [...] I can't wait for it to come out in DVD, 'cause I'm sure adding this one to my collection!!

Extremely entertaining movie, as only the British can do. Alan Tudyk was really great. All theater was roaring with laughter. The cast was perfect, what more... not too long... very pleasant!

English farce is a wonderful tradition, from Spike Milligan to The Goon Show, from Benny Hill to Monty Python, its wry, broad humour hits home. Except here. This laboured attempt consistently stumbles. The ensemble cast never quite manages its timing without strain. There are a few light giggles but no guffaws worthy of The Two Ronnies. Better yet, stay at home, have some Marmite, cheddar and Branson pickle and read Wodehouse.

A great British comedy; not on par with Edgar Wright/Simon Pegg films but original and laugh worthy non-the-less. Every scene Alan Tudyk is in, he steals. You just can’t take your eyes off him- as the loveable boyfriend who thinks he’s taking valium to calm his nerves, but in fact took extremely potent hallucinogens. Overall the cast is strong, but Tudyk really stands out for me. I’ve liked him since his days on Firefly, so seeing him in such a great role is great. If you like dry, “British humor” you’ll definitely enjoy this film. The theatre I was in was roaring with laughter the last 20 or so minutes. Worth seeing.
