Spookley hatches as a normal, orange pumpkin, but square. He doesn't let the mean jokes of his peers bother him and stays with his friends, the three funny spiders and Jack Scarecrow, who assure him even he can be picked as a Halloween pumpkin. Although the farmer doesn't think Spookley is a good pumpkin, a storm hits, causing all the other pumpkins to roll away, leaving the square one pick of the patch.
