Didn't like the story. Meg Ryans character was not too believable. Stay at home mom, living in a fairy tale world. In this day and age, we should all be so gullable.

This film of major female stars is purely delusional narcissism. I walked out of this film.

Inspirational, gives a feeling of being able to go through anything with your friends and stick through the real crappy stuff in life.

I would recommend the movie to girls not older than 14.

Some good talent here, but wasted with a script that wasn't quite a comedy, or a drama, or a farce. A solid one-star movie.

I definitely found that making it an all woman cast it did not portray what a real relationship is all about. Although it had a great cast I felt that the absence of men in the movie took away from the story line and made it week and difficult to watch.

Predictable, if you miss this movie you have not missed much. Good actresses with a bad script.

The actresses in this movie were way too high of a caliber to play such a weak story line. I walked away feeling neither here nor there.

This movie is not worth even renting. The lines sound like they were just read off a script instead of with feeling. I am disappointed in such great actresses. I heard it was bad but I wanted to support an all female cast (because I want more movies for women) Unfortunately the critics were right, it is not believable or worth the money.

If you’ve seen or read the play on which this movie is based, you'll probably find it pretty interesting. But the adaptation is at times awkward, and if you are not familiar with the play, you might just find it plain weird. But cast is brilliant!

I was excited about the cast; hadn't seen Bette Midler or Carrie Fisher in ages. I think Meg Ryan spent 90% of the movie looking surprised or stunned. It was great to see Candace Bergen as Meg Ryan's mother. With all of these actors together, one would have thought a better vehicle could have been found. I was not impressed - rent in - don't spend the money at a movie theatre; not worth it.

Yes this is a movie of Major Fiction - not Fact. Major Fantasy - Another World. All the women are Rich and have money - fancy clothes and cars - live in New York - etc. etc. etc. This movie is just an extension of the Gossip and fashion Magazines - and Paps Internet sites. Cashing in on the Celebrity Frenzy. Come on now - I am disappointed that Major Players like Meg Ryan, Annette Bening, Cloris Leachman and especially Candice Bergen are appearing in a movie that only belittles women. Are they just playing with their Barbies on higher level? The movie's title is all wrong because its protrayal of women lives and friendships is certainly not the same as most women's reality. Come on now, its still tough for women. This movie really doesn't help The Women's cause.

I saw this movie with my younger sister - and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. We didn't go to this show looking for the meaning of life, but I found myself relating to a number of on-screen scenarios and attitudes. I will have to watch it again because I know we laughed enough to miss some lines. The theatre was full of ALL ages, and I didn't notice anyone not laughing. As for other viewer's comments, why is it so unbelievable that these friends remain so after many years... I feel sorry for anyone who thinks true friendship exists only if you share everything in common. Bette and Cloris added a ton of humor as supporting actresses in this movie, and it was a hoot.

First off: IT IS A CHICK FLIC! Don't expect to bring your boyfriend or husband to this movie and have him enjoy it! Go with your girlfriends and make it a night out. That said for a chick flick it is a good movie, its funny with an interesting story and very funny characters (Jada Pinkett Smith's character is hilarious) it is all about a group of women... and you will notice there is not a man in the movie until the very end. It has a good story and ends very well, Meg Ryan does a great job.

It was a great "girly" movie... and if you pay close attention, there are absolutely no men in the movie, not even in the background...

The first hour was not bad, the 2nd hour much worse (except for a great Bette Midler cameo!) Go to the video store and rent the 1930's original instead, which I would rate a 10!

The movie was excellent for me. It was nice to see a movie that hit home for the ladies in their 40's. We're not all ugly fat houswives. Excellent loved it.

A great movie to see with galpals. I thought it was very funny. The supporting cast was very good (I haven’t seen Carrie Fisher in anything since Star Wars) but as some reviewers have already commented, I didn’t find the idea of these four women being friends from college believable.

This movie looks good in trailers and has a great cast... but it was HORRIBLE. A complete wast of money and big disappointment if you are in the mood for a great female ensemble cast movie. Wouldn't even rent it.

Wow what a load of garbage this movie was. A clearly half hearted attempt to cash in on the sex in the city movie success. None of the supporting roles made any sense... a flaky earth mother and an angry black lesbian? Best friends with a "martha stewart mom" and a business woman... yeah... riiight. The acting was embarassingly bad, the script was contrived and bland. Just a mish mash of scenes from other movies, the stupid birth scene, the revenge on the other woman, the magazine coup, the *snicker* fashion show. Good grief, who wrote this? A seventh grader who watches alot of movies? I hated it, and I love movies, I will watch anything. I want those hours of my life back. OH GOD AND ITS SO LONG!!! I swear its five hours at least.

Awful movie, don't waste your money. All the supporting actors were better then Meg Ryan. She shouldn't have taken so much time off because she obviously forgot how to act. HORRIBLE, don't waste you hard earned money.

A movie to see with your girlfriends. It’s fun, not too serious but there is an underlying message about how women need to boost their self-esteem and accept themselves as they are. There are some great lines, like in a department store when one of the women is offered an ‘invisible face lift’ she says, “this is my face – deal with it. ” Eva Mendes was great as Crystal. The only thing that bothered me about this movie was the way Annette Benning delivered her lines. I’ve never seen any of her movies before so I don’t know her real voice but it sounds like she was putting on a fake, snobbish accent. Also, the fact that the four women were friends from college wasn’t believable to me because their characters were way too different. On the whole, quite an enjoyable film.

This was the worst movie I have seen since GLITTER! Although the actresses are all amazing, it was as if they were told to be AWFUL... and they achieved that beautifully. The movie went back and forth too much and the story line was not written well at all! I was extremely disappointed and could not believe that this many great people can be SO horrific.

I agree with some comments that the writers of this movie missed the opportunity to do some great things with this movie. The acting caliber of these actresses could have been used to fuller advantage. All that being said the movie was just fun. The ladies relationship with one another was great. I found it to be an entertaining night out!

There were a few redeeming elements to this somewhat disappointing film. Bette Midler's performance was refreshingly spicy amidst the great, long blandness of The Women. The designer clothes especially those worn by Annette Bening and the variety of hairstyles were fabulous if you enjoy fashion as I do. But the plot and the script left me fidgeting and yawning. If you ever suffer through serious domestic difficulties, please expect a LOT more upset than the main character in this film. A mere manicure will not even begin to salve the hurt. That Mick Jagger was one of the producers is incredible.

This is one movie that you really need to go see with your female friends and family. I was there with 3 friends... we all loved it. Every woman in the Theater was laughing... and it was almost full. Forget what you may have read in the reviews. It's smart, intelligent, funny, timely, uplifting. There is nothing like the chatter that goes on with friends... how we know all about each other. It's about life and living your dreams.
