Based on the bestselling Philip Pullman novels, the "His Dark Materials" trilogy is comprised of "The Golden Compass," "The Subtle Knife" and "The Amber Spyglass". In an alternative world where people's souls manifest themselves as animals, talking bears fight wars, and Gyptians and witches co-exist, a young girl named Lyra must travel to the far north to rescue a friend who's been kidnapped.
