You folks saying the movie was about making someone feel guilty are hilarious. The movie shows racial integration and merely describes an episode in history. Are you saying ban all historical movies because someone will feel guilty by their ancestry where one group of people prevailed over another at that time. You should get over the whining and criticize a movie for what it is. This movie although historically not accurate in a few things -ie, Geneva convention only existed from 1949, and badly acted a few times, - it did accurately show only racism by the Deep South locals and the US segregation policies, and it showed accurately how white European locals had no resentment to Black GIs - why would you feel guilty about that? In fact why do you ignore that aspect of the movie? It says alot about where you are at on the subject.
