Turopp (Vin Diesel) is a hardened mercenary worrior who's on what's fit to call 'mission Impossible' to smuggle a very unusually gifted girl, to say the least, from a convent in Kazakhstan to New York city and the complications begin when her guardian, sister Rebecca, played by Michelle Yeoh, insists that she won't let the girl leave unless she accompanies her! ; And so this hi-tech mesh mash journey that resembles a jigsaw puzzle with the wrong pieces begins! ; I'm not going to say that the performances of Vin Diesel, Michel Yeoh, Lambert Wilson and especially the gorgeous Melanie Thierry (who plays Aurora) aren't good because that wouldn't be fare at all! ; So could it be the fact that Mathiew Kassovitz got way too involved with all aspects of the movie and should have just stuck to the directing part that made it such a mess? (He directed, co-wrote and co-produced it), or that when it came to editing, it was done in such a hurry that the result is a messy lot of many incomprehensible bits?.. In either case, it's a shame because in all honesty, I think that this movie had the potential of being much better than this! I can't help but remember another cinematic disaster that could have been saved as well: Battlefield Earth!
